Over the past five years, Hill Voices Choir has experienced remarkable growth. From a modest group of just over ten members, the choir has expanded to over one hundred active participants, each deeply engaged in the ministry’s activities. This growth is not merely numerical; the quality of music and the depth of fellowship have also flourished. The choir has become a close-knit family within the church, where bonds are formed, and a sense of belonging is cultivated.
Significant Milestones & Events
The Hill Voices Choir has been at the forefront of several impactful events that have left a lasting impression on the church and the community.
Among these, the Kamiti Mission Outreach stands out as a testament to the choir’s commitment to serving beyond the church walls. Through regular visits to Kamiti Maximum Prison, the choir has ministered to inmates through music and the Word of God.
Another highlight is the annual Easter and Christmas carols, which have become a cherished tradition, drawing both church members and the wider community into a time of reflection and celebration.
The choir’s retreat to Mombasa was also a pivotal event, where members deepened their bonds and re-committed themselves to serving Christ in unity, under the theme “Aligned in Christ.”
In a rapidly changing world, Hill Voices Choir has embraced technology to extend its reach and maintain connectivity among its members. Platforms like WhatsApp, Google Meet, and YouTube have become essential tools for communication, prayer meetings, and sharing the choir’s music with a broader audience.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, these technologies were instrumental in keeping the choir active and engaged, even when physical gatherings were not possible.
As AIC Milimani celebrates its 30th anniversary, the Hill Voices Choir stands as a shining example of how a ministry can flourish when rooted in Christ and driven by a shared vision of service and fellowship.
