Master Matlhaope

Position / Role in the Church

Rev. Dr. Master Matlhaope serves as an Associate Pastor at AIC Milimani and is the General Secretary of AEA, giving oversight to evangelical mission and collaboration across the African continent.

Biography

Rev. Dr. Matlhaope is known for his bold proclamation of gospel-centered truths at AIC Milimani. His messages highlight justification by faith, alignment with God’s mission, and the transformative power of the gospel, such as “The gospel is the power of God,” and “Your faith in the Son of God is superior.”

Beyond the pulpit, he plays a continental role as the General Secretary of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA), based in Nairobi. In this capacity, he coordinates regional networks, strengthens evangelical unity, and leads engagements on theology, missions, and public witness.

Dr. Matlhaope is deeply committed to raising a generation of believers and churches that are fully aligned with the Great Commission. He is frequently invited to speak in conferences and churches across Africa. In 2024, he was appointed Chancellor of Africa International University, further advancing his leadership in evangelical theological education. Rev. Dr. Matlhaope hails from Botswana and brings a southern African perspective to his pan-African ministry.

Rev. Dr. Matlhaope is married to Boipuso Eneldah Matlhaope, and together they are blessed with three children: two sons, Prince and David, and a daughter, Abigail.
