Discipleship Ministry

The Discipleship Ministry at AIC Milimani is dedicated to guiding members in their walk with Christ, encouraging spiritual growth and transformation. It is a key pillar that underpins the church’s efforts to cultivate spiritual maturity among its members. This ministry is coordinated by Rev. Dr. Luke Odhiambo Awino. Various programs are implemented to help members grow spiritually.

In Discipleship, the ministry has developed cell group discussion materials and facilitated programs like the KUZA Growth Moment, which has seen over 300 youths participate and 107 graduates by 2024. The BEE program (Biblical Education by Extension) has also been introduced and boasts over 60 students. Additionally, the ministry has organized various breakfasts and high school discipleship programs, strengthening the church’s spiritual foundation. The Women’s Ministry integrates discipleship through initiatives like the Ushirika wa Wake Wakristo program and tailored mentorship groups. The Children’s Ministry prepares children for the next stage of their spiritual journey through a pre-ROPES class. Spiritual initiatives in the Glorious Marriages Ministry include Bible studies and BEE programs. Members are encouraged to participate in Bible study groups and fellowships as opportunities to deepen their faith and grow spiritually.

The pastoral team provides spiritual oversight, ensuring teachings align with biblical principles and offering pastoral care to guide members through their spiritual journeys. Initiatives like Bible studies, discipleship programs, and mentorship opportunities cultivate personal spiritual disciplines such as prayer, fasting, and regular Scripture reading, equipping members to live authentically as followers of Christ. The Discipleship Ministry, along with other pillars, aims to foster biblically mature believers dedicated to worship and service.
