Intercessory Ministry

The Intercessory Ministry at AIC Milimani is a vital pillar of our spiritual life, dedicated to standing in the gap through faith-filled prayer for our church, community, and nation. Led under the patronage of Rev. Dr. David Tarus, the ministry actively cultivates a vibrant prayer culture and encourages consistent prayer practices among the congregation. Its mission is to seek divine guidance and drive transformative change through collective intercession. 

Since 2020, the Intercessory Team has spearheaded several impactful initiatives. These include monthly Prayer Keshas, which are nights of continuous prayer that mobilize participation from all church ministries. They also organize Annual Prayer Retreats, providing dedicated space for fasting and meditation away from daily distractions. Biannual Prayer Months are also observed, offering focused periods to deepen the church’s prayer life. These events have significantly enriched the spiritual engagement of the church community, leading to powerful testimonies of healing and restoration. The ministry emphasizes that prayer is crucial in all church activities, supporting and interceding for every event and initiative. Partnerships with various organizations also help enrich the ministry’s programs. 

Looking ahead, the ministry plans new training sessions to help members deepen their prayer practices. Technology, including platforms like Teams and Google Meet, has enhanced accessibility and coordination for prayer and communication. The Intercessory Ministry’s vision to cultivate a biblically mature community united in prayer aligns perfectly with the broader church mission of deepening collective spiritual life and fostering intimacy with God.
