Marriage & Family Ministries
AIC Milimani is committed to nurturing strong, Christ-centered marriages and supporting families through its various ministries. The church has a comprehensive approach, particularly through its Noble Marriages Ministry and Glorious Marriages Ministry, effectively creating a “Marriage & Family Ministry” framework.
The Noble Marriages Ministry, founded in 2016 as the Young Couples Fellowship, is dedicated to supporting couples from their first day of marriage up to their fifteenth year. It provides guidance, fellowship, and resources to navigate the challenges of early marriage, aiming to foster resilient marital bonds and a supportive network. Led by Pastor Rachel Kisyula and with Rev. Dr. David Tarus as patron, this ministry has grown significantly in membership. It addresses critical challenges identified by couples through surveys, such as parenting strategies, spiritual growth as a couple, financial planning, communication skills, and conflict resolution. Innovative engagement includes online sessions on conflict resolution and communication, as well as social events like hiking.
The Glorious Marriages Ministry caters to couples married for over 15 years. It has experienced remarkable growth and transformation, becoming a beacon of growth and spiritual enrichment. This ministry helps ensure that all members, regardless of life circumstances (including families), feel included and supported. It organizes events like nature walks, fellowships, couples’ dinners, and annual retreats.
Both ministries collaborate, such as the first-ever joint fellowship between Noble and Glorious Marriages in 2024. Key spiritual and educational initiatives like cell groups, Bible studies, and BEE programs are integrated. Technology is embraced through hybrid services and social media to enhance connection and engagement. The collective efforts of these ministries align with the church’s vision and mission to foster strong, faith-filled and Christ-centered marriages.
