Music Ministry
Worship is a fundamental pillar at AIC Milimani, central to the church’s spiritual life and its mission to guide the congregation into meaningful encounters with God. The Worship Ministry aims to create an atmosphere of reverence and praise, inspired by scriptures like Psalm 100:4. The ministry is composed of the Worship Pillar, which includes three music teams: the Praise and Worship team, Mabalozi Choir, and the Hill Voices Choir. These teams serve every Sunday and are involved in outreach.
Over the past five years, these music teams have grown in numbers and ministry impact. The Hill Voices Choir focuses on a blend of Traditional and Contemporary Gospel Music, known for its musical arrangement, notation, harmony, passion, and skill. They are celebrated for their annual Easter and Christmas Carols.
The Mabalozi Choir specializes in Contemporary Gospel Music, incorporating song and dance. They have seen tremendous growth in numbers and production, releasing several audio and video albums. Mabalozi Choir is also active in outreach, ministering at crusades, weddings, burials, and other functions. Their music is deeply rooted in scripture and aims to nurture biblical maturity. They recently launched an album, “Ee Mungu Wangu”, in 2024, which has touched lives beyond the church.
The Praise and Worship team sets the pace for services, leading the church into worship. They have grown significantly in stage performance, voice, and band coordination, notably introducing “Worship experiences” and ministering in a successful first Easter Concert. The ministry fosters spiritual growth through regular practice, prayer, and mentorship. They invest in children and youth to ensure continuity of a strong worship culture. Technology is embraced with high-quality sound systems, multimedia, and live streaming, extending outreach via social media. The Worship Ministry plays a key role in special services and actively engages in outreach missions.
