Advertisement for recruitment of a Worship Pastor

The church wishes to recruit a qualified, experienced and results oriented person to fill the position of a Worship Pastor within its establishment. The Worship Pastor will be accountable to God for the management of the church and to the Deputy Senior Pastor as his deputy.
Overall responsibility
Oversee the worship ministry of the Church and engage members in creative and vibrant worship.
Core Performance Areas
- Develop and facilitate implementation of Worship Ministry strategy
- Develop and maintain an annual plan that ensures continuous improvement and growth of Worship ministry.
- Develop and implement the Worship Ministry budget
- Lead all aspects of planning and performance of the worship services
- Develop and schedule teams of instrumentalists and vocalists
- Organize and lead practices.
- Responsible for Pastoral and discipleship care of the worship teams.
- Provide technical support in sound, media and lighting as needed.
- Manage worship instruments and their maintenance: musical instruments, computers, sound, and video equipment
- Manage volunteer schedules for computer, sound, and video.
- Manage and maintain stage presentation.
- General Pastoral duties.
- Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Theology
- Diploma or its equivalent in a theological discipline
- KCSE Mean Grade C+
- Working experience of not less than three (3) years in pastoral duties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate as well as counsel young people
- Proficiency in information technology
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument (keyboard/guitar) is an advantage.
- Proven experience leading a worship team (minimum3 years).
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Publication of Theological materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working experience of not less than five years in pastoral duties
- Ability to develop, train and motivate staff to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Ability to make sound decisions in consultation with the senior pastor
- Proficiency in information technology
